Fixed braces are normally quite durable, however it's not not uncommon for a component to break. Don't stress. Breakages can happen and in most cases they're easily fixed.
Our most common cases are when a bracket or tube becomes unstuck from a tooth or a wire breaks.
If part of your brace becomes loose, broken or lost please give us a call as it will need to be repaired.
If you run out of elastics, give us a call and we will send some out to you. It's important to wear these as directed so please don't hold off until your next visit.
If a wire starts digging into your cheek, you can use the wax provided as a temporary solution and give us a call to arrange an appointment to have the wire trimmed.
